This compact waterproof detector comes with easy-to-use controls and is assembly-free. Quickly find more gold patches and more gold nuggets!
The SDC 2300 was field tested by Minelab professional testers in real gold fields (heavily mineralised) and delivered proven results.”SDC 2300 strikes gold in field test land previously hunted by another (brand) midrange machine” – Minelab field tester
“You will find more small nuggets and fine-threaded specimen gold in mineralised soils with the SDC 2300 than any other gold detector, including the GPX 5000.”
“The SDC’s unique advantage is ultra-low ground noise in mineralised and saline soils AND very high sensitivity to fine gold and fine targets (like chains) at the beach.”
Folds to small portable size, 8.5” (216mm) by 15.7” (400mm). Fits into carry-on luggage and most backpacks.
Fully submersible to 10’ (3m) for detecting riverbeds and shorelines, allowing you to transition with ease from land to water.
Rugged & Assembly Free
Military grade construction, one piece detector designed to perform in the toughest conditions. No assembly required.
Easy Patch Hunting
Search quickly and efficiently in hard to reach and remote places to find those elusive gold bearing clustered deposits.
MPF (Multi Period Fast) technology incorporates extremely fast Pulse Induction switching between Transmit (Tx) and Receive (Rx) detector signals. Therefore minimal residual transmit signal is present during the receive cycle, enabling clear sharp detection of very small gold.
Minelab quality, one-piece assembly free design.
The SDC 2300’s mechanical platform ihas been designed and tested to military standards. Our R&D experts have selected high quality materials and ensured the product is easy to maneuver and operate.SDC 2300 is compact and lightweight for ease of use.
“Like a kid at Christmas I tore the box open and lifted out my new toy – a Minelab SDC 2300 detector. There is not a box full of parts to assemble, just this little detector all folded up, and nothing quite prepares a person for just how small the SDC 2300 is the first time you see it.” –Steve, California, USA
The SDC 2300 is very sensitive to small gold scattered in heavily mineralised ground. This gold is often missed by prospectors with both VLF and PI detectors because of the difficult ground conditions and fine gold size. You can now detect the small gold missed in previously searched areas. These small gold finds can lead the way to new patches and bigger gold deposits.
When prospecting the golden rule is to dig all solid signals. However, the type of target under the coil and buried beneath the ground can be distinguished by the audio response the detector sounds.
The SDC 2300gold detector audio response provides discrimination in the form of pitch and tone when the coil passes over ferrous or non-ferrous targets, similarly with amplitude and duration for shallow and deep targets.
For example, the audio response for small gold will be a low-pitched tone followed by a high-pitched tone. A ferrous signal such as a bottle cap will produce a high-pitched tone followed by a low-pitched one, enabling the user to discriminate the ferrous target.
A louder, shorter sound will indicate a shallow target while a quieter, broader sound will indicate the presence of a deep, large target. A target that sounds off multiple times each swing will invariably be a near-surface or surface target.
